Description: The 2024 Celia Cruz quarter, the 14th in the American Women Quarters™ Program and the first honoring an Afro-Latina, features a vibrant, smiling, mid-performance depiction of the "Queen of Salsa" in a rumba-style dress. Designed by Phebe Hemphill, the reverse includes her signature catchphrase, “¡AZÚCAR!”.

Release Date: Released in August 2024, with rolls and bags available directly from the US Mint.

Obverse Design: Features a portrait of George Washington, originally designed by Laura Gardin Fraser in 1932.

Reverse Description: Depicts Celia Cruz with a joyful, energetic expression, wearing a rumba-style dress, and holding a microphone.

Inscriptions: The reverse includes "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "25¢," "CELIA CRUZ," and her famous shout, "¡AZÚCAR!".

Designer/Sculptor: The reverse was designed and sculpted by U.S. Mint Medallic Artist Phebe Hemphill.
