Description: The 2000 Virginia State Quarter, the 10th in the 50 State Quarters Program, honors the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown settlement. Released on October 16, 2000, it features the Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery ships, which brought the first English settlers to Virginia in 1607. The design was created by Edgar Steever and includes the inscription "Jamestown 1607-2007".
