Edge: The coin has a lettered edge, with the year of minting (2019), mint mark (P, D, or S), and stars.
Designer: The reverse was designed by Justin Kunz and sculpted by Phebe Hemphill.
Significance: Annie Jump Cannon (1863–1941) was a Delaware-born astronomer who developed the Harvard Classification Scheme, the first serious attempt to organize stars based on their spectral types (O, B, A, F, G, K, M). This system remains in use today.
