Drescription: Issued in 2021 as a one-year-only design, the Washington Crossing the Delaware quarter features a reverse designed by Benjamin Sowards and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso. It depicts General Washington commanding troops across an ice-choked river. The obverse features the return of John Flanagan's classic portrait of Washington used between 1932-1998.

Reverse Design: Shows General Washington in a boat with soldiers, facing right with his saber drawn, representing the 1776, Revolutionary War crossing.
Inscriptions: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", "CROSSING THE DELAWARE", and "QUARTER DOLLAR".
Obverse Design: The traditional portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan.
Composition: Primarily copper-nickel clad.
Significance: Replaced the "America the Beautiful" series for one year, honoring the pivotal event before the Battle of Trenton.
