Drescription: The Kennedy Half Dollar, minted from 1964–present, is a 50-cent U.S. coin honoring President John F. Kennedy, featuring his left-facing portrait on the obverse and the Presidential Seal on the reverse. Designed by Gilroy Roberts and Frank Gasparro, it was originally 90% silver in 1964 before transitioning to copper-nickel clad in 1971.

Clad Composition (1971–Present): (75%) copper, (25%) nickel over a pure copper core.

Special Issues: The 1964 "Accented Hair" proof variant is a key collectible. The 1975–1976 Bicentennial coins feature Independence Hall on the reverse.
