Drescription: The American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States, minted since 1986, containing 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver with a $1 face value. It features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty on the obverse. The reverse design was updated in mid-2021 from a heraldic eagle (Type 1, 1986–2021) to a landing eagle (Type 2, 2021–present).

Obverse: Lady Liberty draped in an American flag, walking toward a sunrise with the inscription "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST".
Reverse (Type 1, 1986–2021): A heraldic eagle behind a shield, clutching an olive branch and arrows, designed by John Mercanti.
Reverse (Type 2, 2021–Present): A bald eagle landing on a branch, designed by Emily Damstra.
Minting: Struck at the Philadelphia, San Francisco, West Point, or Denver mints.
Collectibility: Produced in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) for investors and Proof/Burnished versions for collectors.
The series is highly regarded for its consistent design and, from 2021 onwards, incorporates security features in the Type 2 design.
