The 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial cents are a special four-coin series celebrating the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth and the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln cent. All four, minted in Philadelphia and Denver, feature the standard Victor David Brenner obverse portrait, but have unique reverse designs depicting stages of Lincoln's life, with 95% copper composition used for collector sets and standard copper-plated zinc for circulation.

Birth & Early Childhood (Kentucky - Feb 12, 2009): Features a log cabin, symbolizing his 1809 birth.
Formative Years (Indiana - May 14, 2009): Depicts a young Lincoln reading while taking a break from rail splitting.
Professional Life (Illinois - Aug 13, 2009): Shows a young professional Lincoln standing before the Springfield Illinois State Capitol.
Presidency (Washington, D.C. - Nov 12, 2009): Features the partially completed U.S. Capitol dome, symbolizing the Civil War era.
Obverse Design:
Features the traditional profile of Lincoln with the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST," "LIBERTY," and "2009".
