Drescription:  The Lincoln Memorial cent (1959–2008) features Victor D. Brenner’s iconic Lincoln portrait on the obverse and Frank Gasparro’s depiction of the Lincoln Memorial on the reverse, created to honor the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth. Minted in 95% copper (1959–1982) and then copper-plated zinc (1982–2008), this 19mm coin includes a tiny, visible statue of Lincoln within the memorial.
