Description: The 2017 Iowa America the Beautiful quarter features an aerial view of the Marching Bear Group mounds at Effigy Mounds National Monument. Released as the 36th coin in the series, the design highlights the, "sacred landscape" with inscriptions including "EFFIGY MOUNDS," "IOWA," "2017," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM". The coin was designed by Richard Masters and sculpted by Renata Gordon.
